  On Thursday evening, May 5th, 2011, Athletes in Action held its 6th Annual Night of Champions. This event honors inductees into the prestigious AIA Hall of Faith. The inductees, one male and one female from the world of sports, are chosen for their faith, leadership, character and integrity on and off the field of competition.

 

In 2011, AIA inducted Kim Anthony and Frank Reich into the Hall of Faith-
Kim Anthony, former US National Gymnastics team member, four-time national champion, six time All-American, first African-American woman to receive a scholarship to compete for UCLA's gymnastics team, and UCLA Hall of Fame inductee.
Frank Reich, Football quarterback in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, New York Jets and the Detroit Lions. Frank had the distinction of having led his team to the biggest comeback victory in both collegiate and professional ranks. Currently Frank Reich is the quarterback coach for the Indianapolis Colts.
Past recipients of this esteemed honor include Anthony Muñoz, the late Kay Yow, the late John Wooden, Madeline Manning Mims, Bart Starr, Leah O’Brien-Amico, John Peterson, Ruth Riley, Jenny Johnson Jordan and Jim Tressel. 
Night of Champions is part of the Sports Legend Series that includes the Super Bowl Breakfast (Super Bowl Weekend , Dallas, TX; Legends of the Hardwood Breakfast (NCAA Final Four, Houston, TX); and the All-Star Breakfast (NBA All-Star Weekend, Los Angeles, CA).
